Fazenda Guanabara, part of Grupo Guanabara, operates a large-scale livestock and agricultural business with over 40 years of experience in Brazil’s agribusiness sector.
The farm manages thousands of animals and complex operational workflows related to reproduction, genetics, health monitoring, and regulatory reporting.
While the operation had already adopted modern farming technologies in the field, its livestock management software had become outdated and unable to keep up with the scale of operations.

The solution: a scalable livestock management platform
Cheesecake Labs designed and developed a custom livestock management platform tailored for large-scale agribusiness operations.
Instead of replicating the legacy system, the new solution was built as a modular farm management platform, allowing the product to evolve alongside the farm’s needs.
The platform initially launched with two main modules:
Livestock Management
A centralized system for tracking herd data, reproductive cycles, animal history, births, and weight records.
Service Bulletin Management
A module designed to register and manage operational services and activities across the farm.
Machinery Management
A system for monitoring farm equipment and improving operational logistics. Currently expanding.
Designing a better experience for complex farm operations with Emotional Design
Managing livestock operations involves high volumes of data entry and operational workflows.
To improve usability, the design process focused on clarity, feedback, and reliability, inspired by Emotional Design principles.
