With the onset of smart home devices like Amazon Echo, voice search is beginning to rise in popularity exponentially. 41% of adults use voice search at least once a day. The main challenge with this technology is to replicate an exciting, natural, and human experience.
MercadoLibre came to us with the idea was to allow people to search for their products and discover prices through voice on Alexa.
By default, Alexa searches for product prices on Amazon. With an Alexa skill, people can search directly on MercadoLibre’s marketplace. Thanks to our experience with this technology in two other projects, Cheesecake Labs was the obvious choice to deliver the pilot project.
